Feb 9, 2010 SimUtils – Now with Internet Livetiming Service (ILS)
We are now hosting Internet Live timing for our first “customer” www.gtr24h.dk Take a look under “Timing” in the main menu.
This sort of service, as well as automatic Race Results / Reports is something we plan to offer for free to any interested Simracing community in the future, so please see the contact details under “About” if interested.
Feb 9, 2010 Race Manager 3.5 In Progress
Just a quick update: Most of the functionality we delivered in Race Manager 3.0 will soon be available to the public in a new version, which will be able to work via LAN independently of the SimUtils servers. This will mean that scalability will be far greater then in the old version, which was easily brought to its knees with just a few handfulls of clients.
Oct 19, 2009 Race Manager 3 gone stable!
New versions of Datalogger and Race Manager have been popping up almost every day, and now we are finally at a point where we call our applications stable!
A couple of the additions in the last few days have been:
- Driver plan – plan future stints in endurance racing, and see average laptimes and best laptimes for each stint
- Possibility to Change update-rate in the datalogger GUI, in case you have a bad connection or a slow PC.
- Track map (Tools-> Track Map) Has also gotten a standings view, where you can select a car, that will then be highlighted on the track.
In the next couple of days there will be added a full feature list, as well as a user-guide on this site, so stay tuned! And please keep posting in the forums if you find an error in the application, or have cool ideas for future versions!
Oct 6, 2009 New version!
New versions of Datalogger and Race Manager have now been released! The bug fixes are too many to mention, and new features include, but are not limited to:
- Working event log (Shows new fastest lap, overtakes in race session, flat tires, pit stop durations)
- Working “Organizer Messages” RM will beep and switch to Org Message tab showing all session messages when a message is sent from a race organizer.
- Added content to Tire and Brake tabs, now shows some statistics for the last completed lap (Min, Avg, Max values)
- Added “Fuel last lap” label to main view.
- Added logging of everything, which will in a later version make it possible to generate some cool graphs from the Tools menu (this part is not done yet)
Enjoy!
Oct 1, 2009 Good news, bad news
Ok, lets start with the bad. The Telemetry database is down for maintanence, and will be so for a day or two more, so untill then you will not be able to log on to Datalogger or Race Manager.
Good news though is that everything should get up and running before the weekend is over, and that a new (Big) update is on its way, which will bring with it some cool new features, along with the usual bugfixes and optimizations.

- RaceManager build 1.0.0.31 out!
We are proud to announce this new version, which has the following bugfixes / addons:
- “Track Map” button now actually opens a map where you can see the track, and the cars that are on it. More functionality will come to this track soon.
- Support for low screen resolutions: Speedo and tach are now also visible (but smaller) in low resolutions
- Analogue Fuel guage fixed. This was not working at all, but has been fixed thanks to a bug report in the forums.
- Timing tab added to this webpage, where you can see live timing for our test server
- Race Control server application fixed: There was a serious bug, that caused it to sometimes not move to a new session.
More things happening later, keep posting in the forums when you find a bug, or if you have a cool idea, and we will look into it immidiately

Race Control updated!
Finally an update has been made to the Race Control application. The update fixes many bugs, and has made it possible to see Live Timing in a simple way with just your browser.
Race Manager has also been updated, so Live Timing also works from there now, just remember you can only see timing for SimUtils certified servers!
